Background

The high schools in Joensuu want to develop cooperation and learn from each other in order to increase teachers' professional skills, reduce duplicate administration, and provide every high school student in Joensuu with equal opportunities to choose innovative curricula as part of their studies. In addition, the consortium project has organizational and personnel changes taking place in our schools and school administration, which creates a need for additional training. The change offers an opportunity to develop, find and renew common operating procedures from both an administrative and pedagogical perspective. Finally, the motivation and ability of the teaching staff to develop team-based teaching based on phenomena is to be valued and further developed, which requires not only the provision of opportunities for additional training, but also the development of school administration.
