Our schools future strategy aims to increase our commitment to internationality. Apart from offering students the possibility to take part in exchanges and learn in an international environment, this project increased reciprocity and helped us to develop a school that both sends and receives international students and teachers. After the mobility period, the participants wrote reports that were used in planning future mobility projects. Feedback and ideas to improve the periods were processed in evaluative discussions afterwards. Social media and our schools website have been used to display the blogs and travel reports produced by students. This helped to inform students of the international options they have and strengthen our schools reputation as an international organization. We noticed that internationality is a good selling point during our school tours to new students, many of our students find it important that they have the possibility to go abroad during their studies with our school's support.
We applied for this project because we wanted to offer our students and staff the possibility to gain new experiences through international exchanges. We believe that skills and competences acquired through training abroad are valued in modern working life where one has to be able to work in an international and multicultural environment. Mobility periods have several positive effects: enhancement of students’ autonomous and entrepreneurial attitude, wider perspective for work, extended networks and improved language skills. International experiences enhance students’ self-confidence, improve their problem solving skills and help them to recognize their own strengths and weaknesses and thus, they will be better prepared to work in multicultural environments. These skills ensure also better employability and helps to achieve ours organizations vision, which is to educate professionals in the field of Business and ICT. As guidance has an essential role in the success of the students' training period, in this project we wanted to focus on the preliminary guidance, in which the teacher responsible for the period abroad instructs the student’s employer relating to the tasks and goals of the student during the period abroad.
