We wanted to learn how libraries reach different target groups and work as multicultural and democratic places. Libraries of the area wished to have concrete tips to co-operate with different organizations and customers as well as how to develop the marketing of the library.
Libraries in the regions of Southwest Finland and Satakunta had a need to monitor the development of other countries, particularly in three broad topical issues: guiding citizens' digitalisations, promoting social and cultural dialogue, and promoting and maintaining literacy. The libraries in the region wanted to network internationally as well as have experiences of other libraries to share in networks locally.
