The objective of this youth exchange project is “We want to learn more about welcoming refugees.” The issues in this project are tolerance, prejudices, stereotypes, respect for human rights, intercultural dialogue, solidarity, media literacy, critical thinking, charity work and active citizenship. We also want to create a meeting occasion for local rural community, refugees and youngsters from 4 different countries. Project gives to youthworkers new ideas how to do youthwork with young people with fewer opportunities, too. All over Europe refugee is becoming a very important issue, European Union is trying to deal with it and different countries respond to this phenomenon in different ways. You face this issue for example you realize there are more refugees in your home town or because you see the news on the social media. Often you read fake news and you are not able to istinguish them from real ones. After this project we know why and how people become refugees, what are the main difficulties they face in hosting countries, what are their desires and how we can welcome them.
