A key aim of our mobility activities is to provide international learning environments for students and professional development opportunities for our staff and partners, whatever their field of activity. Staff periods emphasise pedagogical development and the development of professional partnerships. For students, mobility offers not only professional skills but also cultural and linguistic competences, as well as opportunities for personal growth and independence. For many of the young people we send, an Erasmus+ exchange is their first trip abroad and they have had no previous international experience.
Sedu has been engaged in systematic and high-quality international cooperation for several decades. It has been Sedu's strategic intention to create comprehensive cooperation networks in Finland and abroad. With the Erasmus+ accreditation, our international activities are well established and over the years, in addition to our mobility activities, we have also been active in international development projects, including through the E+ KA2 programme. At Sedu, we want to offer students from all disciplines the opportunity to internationalise and acquire skills from other countries. We also want to be active in promoting internationalisation in our region by offering our staff the opportunity to participate in international activities, also together with our partners in the world of work. High quality international mobility activities will provide our people with skills and qualities that will also benefit the business community - bringing language skills, problem-solving and open-minded new talent to our region.
