The Académie of Versailles is France's biggest education authority with regard to the size of its staff, but it is also a « training academy » and is host to a high number of trainee teachers and other staff. It has decided to contribute to setting up the school of the 21st century, turning towards Europe and the world and putting e-teaching first. The Académie de Versailles has put into place throughout its area of authority the digital development strategy. Among its priorities the academic project “Versailles 2020” is that of « learning and acting in the world in the 21st century ». To do that it has decided to teach, not only new foreign languages, but also digital languages and to prepare the pupils to evolve in an open and globalized society. In order to pursue this aim the GIP-FCIP and the DAREIC led a dynamic policy of openness with regard to Europe and the world. One of the main aims of this policy should have been mobility projects and during the pandemic setting up active partnerships with foreign schools using digital tools particularly eTwinning. The pandemic which has slowed down mobilities in schools has developed active partnership with 225 eTwinning projects which were set up within the Académie.
