Objectives

The reform of the vocational path initiated by the Ministry of National Education is an opportunity for us to reform our internationalization policy and to enhance our experience acquired in the past in this field: pairing with a school in San Sebastián, KA102 with Instituto Buontatlenti in Florence, KA229 with Santiago, eTwinning projects. The upcoming prospect of a Campus of Excellence also holds our attention. Our school project is part of that of the Academic region, which advocates support for people far from mobility for the sake of equality of public service. Which also underlines the continuing training needs of all staff. ERASMUS + statistics indeed show a significant delay in the vocational path compared to other sectors. It is true that our public is demanding appropriate support because of its youth, its lack of autonomy, that the staff are in great demand, but Jean d'Arcet wishes, with ambition, to be more open to incoming mobilities of Spanish students and teachers in the years to come. The CIP "FPLUMBIER" IIP was kind enough to continue our relations by opening up its network of companies to us.

Background

We want to offer all our students the opportunity for careers in Europe. This is why our apprentice hairdressers, cooks, waiters, administrative managers will all be invited to join the ERASMUS + program. Jean d'Arcet border Vocational School welcomes 230 students who are preparing for the CAP or the Professional Baccalaureate. Many are considered "people with fewer possibilities" or "special needs". The school has an application restaurant and two hairdressing salons open to outside consumers. Jean d'Arcet hosts a special class, whose vocation is to prepare the orientation towards the professional path of pupils in great educational difficulty. In addition to vocational subjects, students study English and Spanish. The assessment by competence has been generalized and accompanies an artistic education course. The bulletins mention the actions carried out with our partners. Our European development plan integrates intercultural competence and arts education as a means of forming future European citizens.
