The final and main objective is a return to employment. The intermediate objective is to offer our jobseekers an increase in skills through a work experience in another EU country. The aim of this mobility is to re-mobilise jobseekers in their activity: employment, training or entrepreneurship. This vocational training offered to our jobseekers would not be possible without the co-financing of the Erasmus+ Agency. We are keen on accompanying people who been searching for an employment for a long time thanks to this experience abroad. One of our secondary goals is to promote European values and an omnipresent sense of the EU by running this European professional mobility programme. From a quantitative point of view, we want to offer this mobility more and more jobseekers every year.
Pôle emploi is the French national employment agency. For many years, Pôle emploi has been implementing various international mobility services. The programme Erasmus+ as it is implemented by Pôle emploi confirms our commitment to European and international mobility. Its application to the programme is in line with the continuity of Erasmus+ internships proposed since 2014. Also, some of the regions of Pôle emploi have already started offering this experience during the Leonardo programme. Furthermore, in addition to the charter obtained in 2017, we also obtained the accreditation for Erasmus+ in 2021. This allows us to continue all of our mobility projects over the next few years. The programme Erasmus+ contributes to the overall goals of Pôle emploi: help and support jobseekers, increase their skills, improve their employability and their subsequent return to a sustainable employment. Erasmus+ enables several hundred jobseekers to complete a professional internship every year. Given the positive results of the last few years concerning the return to work of jobseekers, we offer this valuable experience to our public thanks to our department of international relations.
