Objectives

The implementation of this project enables the whole MFR network of Provence to develop European projects. It enables both organizations and learners to benefit from the advantages of becoming more open to the world around them and thus enhance their personal and professional capacities through the discovery of new experiences in a foreign country. The objective is to broaden their awareness of Europe and the world within the scope of their professional training. Being able to communicate in a foreign language is a must needed skill in the ever changing world that we live in today. On the level of the organizations, the objective is to enable the MFR to develop international strategies and to widen the scope of their action to propose innovative training curriculums. By creating a European network, the MFRs also have the opportunity to develop other European projects and also to become host organisations.

Background

For many years the Fédération Régionale Provence des MFR has been sending, through the network of local MFRs members of the Consortium, learners, apprentices and adults to discover different European countries in the framework of training periods in partner structures. The long term positive impact of these mobility’s has created a dynamic project in each of the MFRs who little by little, send more and more participants on mobility periods and who develop the existing projects to other target groups (other classes and partners in their local areas). To maintain these dynamics, it was natural to apply for this project. This project was meant to benefit 451 participants from 16 MFRs in the 3 groups as defined in the Erasmus program. The average duration of the mobility’s was 17.15 days to make up a total of 7 734 days of mobility. The objective of these mobility’s was to see different ways of working within the same professional scope as the trainee works in in France, to discover other organizations and cultures, other languages.
