Objectives

Since its creation in 1993, the organization of Creneau militates in favour of a lasting and concrete peace development, both at the local and European level, by furthering open-mindedness towards other cultures and social diversity. Subsequent to the common observation of the increase of racists/xenophobic/against religion acts, the rise of populism and withdrawal into one's own community, it appears more than necessary for the organization to create a project that would offer a dynamic and positive framework to allow new generation to build a European Union highly united and strong of its differences. By use of non-formal education, the organization hopes to suggest a new approach so that participants, inhabitants and elected representatives could think differently about the discrimination problem. So the main concern is to ponder the historical and political roots of the discrimination to achieve a much deeper understanding of the place that cultural/ethnic/religious minorities have within current society in order to build a “living together” more peaceful and respectful regarding peculiarities. The participation of other organizations such as Radio Chantier, “Le micro des ailes” or la Ligue des droits de l'hommes 03 will allow to provide a true support in terms of both content and form regarding the creation of the radio document. This one will be established on the basis of interviews and exchanges between participants, inhabitants and policy makers and be enhanced with other activities and workshops both creative (writing, art, video making..) and made for reflection (think tank, popular education tools, debates...). This project thus aims to : 1/ To reflect, apprehend, and debate collectively about discriminatory problem and people that could be subjected to discrimination due to their culture, ethnic group or religion. 2/ To raise awareness among the participants about issues linked to multiculturalism by encounters and acceptance of other's differences in all their diversity to disseminate a culture of tolerance, solidarity and respect. 3/ To include young people into participatory and collaborative process by fostering active learning and by using non-formal education tools. 4/ To offer a free space for creation and exchange between young people that share neither a similar social and cultural background nor nationality. 5/ To raise awareness among local social fabric (inhabitants and policy makers) about issues of tolerance and acceptance of cultural or religious peculiarities. 6/ To educate young people to the use of media outlets and journalism work. 7/ To spread the exchange results and to highlight the actions of Erasmus+ program.
