Born in the sixties of the dream of a few men of good will, the twinning committee of the European Linden aims to participate in the construction of a citizen, democratic, solidarity and ecological Europe by promoting meetings of young people in rural areas. The meeting of the Linden youth will take place from 19 to 28 July 2019 will bring together the delegations of the 6 twinned towns in order to maintain this ideal. This meeting was prepared in May 2018 during European days organized in Lalinde in the presence of leaders and youth representatives of the various committees. The theme chosen is that of renewable energies because it is a subject that interests young people and a European issue of the highest order. It must help to provide informal training for young people to learn about citizenship. These meetings will serve as a relay of opinions in favor of renewable energies and will encourage the young politicians of local decision-makers. The aim of the project is that they become, above all, future European citizens ready to defend the unity of Europe and guarantee the peace of peoples. ______________________________________________________________________________ This project aims to enable young people to share their vision of Europe in their daily lives but also in their expectations: - Contribute to the understanding of the citizen of the European Union, its environment and its future. - Stimulate European citizenship to promote democratic participation and civic reflection in ecological matters. - Raising awareness of the future citizen and transmitting common European values such as the peace and well-being of its peoples through exchanges.
