There are several aims in our project. Our students come from the countryside and do not have traveled a lot. Neither they have a lot of contact with different cultures. So, this project allows them to discover different lifestyles and/or to find things in common with our partners. This may change their ideas and they may think critically about stereotypes. This openness to experience and the tolerance concerning different cultures and people is necessary to help them to become open-minded and smart European citizens. We also want to help them to fix themselves new personal and pedagogic challenges. E.g. to gain in independence or to progress in language skills and to become more self confident.
