Wake Up Europe is a 5-day seminar to be held in Yerevan, Armenia in July 2019 organized in partnership with European youth organizations active in the field of media education. Supported by the Babel International association and bringing together 25 participants from at least 6 European countries, Wake Up Europe will propose innovative methods in the fight against misinformation and spreading fake news. Practical workshops will enable selected young people to participate in the development of information topics of European interest from the local level. Training based on non-formal education to develop the professional skills of participants in the field of ICT, project management and participatory journalism will be offered throughout the seminar. Thanks to the cultural diversity of participants and organizations, participants will develop interpersonal and intercultural skills, improve the practice of foreign languages and get to know other Europeans. The selected young people will thus benefit from skills that they will be able to value professionally, but also that they will transfer to their local organizations and around them on their return from a seminar.
