In accordance with the school's Development Plan and the identified needs arising from self-evaluation and daily school life, the school's project team made a decision to apply for the Erasmus+ program, KA 1. The main goals of our project are to raise the level of excellence in teaching through the use of modern, innovative methodical and didactic approaches, with an emphasis on the increased implementation of play in the teaching process (especially with RN students and in foreign language teaching), and investment in coping skills with unacceptable forms of behavior, with a special emphasis on learning socio-emotional skills through play. As play is healthy and represents the basis for the acquisition of social, emotional and cognitive skills, in the increased and intensified use of play as a teaching method, form, but also as a teaching strategy in regular and optional classes and through various extracurricular activities, we see a potentially large space for progress and improvement of the teaching process, which will result in greater student interest in the teaching contents, more successful mastering of them and, ultimately, an increase in the level of success. Through the game, communication and general social skills are developed and the sense of belonging and acceptance is strengthened, so we consider games to be an ideal form of learning and acquiring socio-emotional skills in students. The use of games in the teaching process requires a great deal of involvement from the teacher. It is extremely important that teachers and professional assistants start participating or continue with training and development related to the introduction of games into the teaching process. We see great opportunities in international cooperation and mobility, where teachers and professional associates can choose schools, educations and educational systems from which they can get the highest quality and most applicable new knowledge and experiences related to the concept of games in the teaching process, which they will later implement in regular or optional classes and in extracurricular activities. That's why we signed up for the project, and we will continue our activities even after its completion.
