Based on our school needs, we defined 3 long-term goals through which we aimed at improving the functioning of the school - in the classroom, in peer relationships, and school as an organisation. 1. More creative teaching methods in physics and maths, and extracurricular activities (robotics and video group). More creative teaching should help pupils with associating abstract and concrete, as well as give them an opportunity of expressing themselves in different media. 2. Managing all processing in our active and dynamic school. In this project we managed stress as a negative factor which affects everyone, as well as socio-emotional traits to prevent more and more present bullying and cyberbullying among pupils. 3. Continual developing of new project ideas and maintaining Erasmus+ program as a constant component of functioning the school and further building of our European dimension. Our short-term goal is to apply for the accreditation for the cycle of 2021-2027. The number of new members of our Erasmus team should be higher in order for them to gain practical experience in Erasmus projects and develop resilience to stress due to insecurities and the fear of unknown, advanced their language skills and develop new competencies.
The project was initiated to achieve and maintain a high work quality, within the context of novelties that the school reform brought. Within the scope of our work as a school, we needed methods for more creative teaching, a higher level of directing classes towards pupils and their needs, raising interest for STEM subjects, dealing with stressful situations, higher quality of communication among children and adults, which proved to be always a current issue and something that is present in the needs of people in the postpandemic times. The analyses of needs and the academic success of pupils at the end of school years, it was concluded that those are the areas towards which we should direct our energy and which can be advanced through in-service training. Since the pandemic started, all in-service training stopped or turned into webinars. After 2 years of self-motivated in-service trainings which were imposed on teachers practically over night, mobilities and in-person trainings are more than needed.
