In accordance with the development plans, we have identified common priority areas of the consortium: - We wanted to improve the quality of vocational education through non-acceptance of professional competencies of students by attending quality internships in foreign companies - We wanted to improve the language competences of students and promote the cultural diversity of the EU - We wanted to increase the organizational capacity and competencies of the school management and encourage further internationalization of the institution - We wanted to promote excellence and attractiveness of vocational occupations and influence the increase of enrollment quotas for deficient occupations in health care - We wanted to organize long-term ErasmusPRO mobility and include students with disabilities
Based on experience and the need to improve the quality of professional practice of students, Čakovec High School applied for the project together with Pregrada Secondary School and Varaždin Medical School. Cooperation and the idea for creating a consortium was created after the MS Varaždin became the Center of Competences in the field of health, after which we agreed to form a vocational consortium to improve the quality of teaching, exchange experiences and enable students to perform quality internships abroad. In this way, we wanted to strengthen the organizational capacity of schools, facilitate partnerships with foreign health care institutions and further improve cooperation among schools in northwestern Croatia that educate staff in health care. We placed special emphasis on improving the quality of mobility in order to provide students with a better quality education and develop their professional, creative and linguistic potentials in order to become responsible and successful individuals ready for the 21st century labor market and lay the foundations for their future lifelong learning and training. In order to better prepare and implement the project, we formed a project team in each school.
