Objectives

By implementing the project, we wanted to achieve that our students further improve their professional knowledge and skills as well as their foreign language competence. We also gave two of our professional teachers the opportunity to follow classes with their colleagues abroad to get acquainted with new methods and practices that they will have the opportunity to implement in their work with students. They will be able to transfer these new methods to their professional colleagues and thus enable the spread and availability of innovations in the field of education and training, which will ultimately improve our school at all levels.

Background

The basic motivation for the application and later implementation of this project is to gradually enable the students of all vocational programs of our school to apply for one of the professional practice mobility abroad. In the last project (Comare&Practice I), we started with students from the four-year mechanical computer technician (SRT) program. In this project (Compare&practice II), we expanded to most vocational programs (SRT,CNC operator and carpenter). In the future, by applying for Erasmus accreditation for VET education, we plan to provide the students from the remaining programs of our school (ob.personal services) with the opportunity to go on internships abroad. By expanding the affirmative experience of student work through the mobility of professional practice abroad, awareness is raised about the lack of certain professions and it motivates students in the final grades of elementary school to choose vocational professions that our school offers, among others. These students and their parents are the main target group of all dissemination and visibility activities in terms of the sustainability of this project and the environment of very unfavorable demographic trends in Croatian Zagorje and the Republic of Croatia.
