We wanted the students in the CNC operator educational program to gain better knowledge and skills by working in foreign companies, because the company has to deal with all the problems on the labor market. We wanted students in the auto mechanic education program to have the opportunity to use the latest tools and diagnostic devices used in the auto industry by working in foreign auto repair shops. Also, both professions would see the differences in the way and methods of work in our and foreign companies. By working in companies, students would gain knowledge and skills that would help them find a job after completing their high school education, because every company that wants to hire a new employee is looking for the work experience they gained during professional practice. Our goal as a school was to enable our students with this project to acquire new technologies and work methods that would they help students to directly enter the labor market in their profession, and to continue further education in their field.
We applied for this project because we wanted the students to acquire the competencies and skills they need for work and employment, and to have the opportunity to get to know new technologies and work methods that are currently used in mechanical engineering. We have a problem with the educational programs CNC operator and car mechanic, because in our area there is no developed mechanical production, i.e. companies engaged in the production of machines, mechanical components and parts. CNC operator and auto mechanic belong to professions that constantly have to follow the latest technologies and work methods in the auto industry. CNC operators carry out practical training in a school workshop that doesn't have all the machines like a manufacturing company. There are also fewer and fewer auto mechanic services in our area, as well as workers who work in this area.
