Objectives

For young people, the modern world is filled with unique challenges that allow them to leave the zone of personal comfort, to become better and expand the boundaries of what is possible. But this only takes place if the person is willing to change and to interact with the world around. Otherwise, some negative factors will take place: apathy, procrastination, lack of motivation, professional burnout. And all these moments are common both for youth and for youth workers. Recognizing long-term stress at work, especially during the deadline’s periods, youth workers show emotional exhaustion, some fatigue and devastation caused by their own work, a sharp attitude to people working with them (colleagues and young people who seek help), poor writing quality and / or the implementation of projects and. because of that, sense of incompetence in their professional field, awareness of their own failure in it. The problem of professional burnout and luck of motivation is common to all NGOs, regardless of how long they work in the field of youth work. Moreover, this problem affects not only youth workers, it is becoming more common even among the youth itself. We believe that by finding a solution to a common problem, we can learn a lot about future partners, discover their work style and find common goals and ideas for future projects. With this Training Course we want to RE-MO-V-E obstacles on the way to quality youth work and to support youth workers in assessing young people's well-being in order to empowering them in their personal and professional development. Also, we would like to adapt the best practices of specialists in the field of emotional intelligence and the methodology of project management to the reality of the youth work at local, national and European levels in order to increase the impact of youth projects and their quality and to encourage the exchange of good practices. Our aim of the TC is to improve the quality of work of youth workers and, thus, to improve the quality of Erasmus + projects at all stages, by developing practical recommendations on minimizing the consequences of professional burnout and luck of motivation and empowering emotional intelligence, that will be disseminated among the partners and uploaded in Salto for common use of youth workers. Also, we want to develop their resilient skills using tools and resources that allow them to deal effectively with stress and to enrich the resilience through youth work. Objectives: - to support youth organizations in increasing the capacity of their work and thereby - foster quality improvements in youth work through international cooperation. - to equip youth workers with the knowledge and tools to effectively work with youth through developing resilience and empowering emotional intelligence. - to strengthen positive mental health and wellbeing of participants by promoting self-worth, responsibility, autonomy, accountability, self-awareness, emotional competences, membership and belonging, and civic and social competence. - to develop practical recommendations on minimizing the consequences of professional burnout, luck of motivation and empowering emotional intelligence, that will be disseminated among the partners. - to increase participants’ competences to disseminate learning achievements within youth NGOs and youth work on local and international level. - to create space for sharing knowledge and exchanging experiences and good practices with the atmosphere of common understanding between people representing different cultures, working styles, etc.
