While designing the methodology and content of project activities, the emphasis was on the general and specific objectives that are to be achieved upon completion of the project. Over the past decades, as a society, we have been exposed to the unprecedented multiplication and intensification of communication channels and processes that are conditioned by accelerated development of technology and media without space constraints, thereby also meeting member of other cultures that weren’t recently accessible. We want to motivate and encourage youth to participate in creation and design of activities, with mentorship and advice, providing them with means and the place for the same, which is often shown as a disadvantage and a problem in the local communities. Without creativity there is no innovation, without innovation there is no growth and development of the economy. By bringing the youth closer to visual arts and cultural & visual events, through informal education, they will communicate more eagerly about things and their problems rather than to do so under artificially created conditions. Thus encouraging fluency (ability to produce large amounts of new ideas), flexibility (variation of different solutions to approach a problem) and originality. Exchange activities are based on nonformal and informal education and participative methods in order to develop new set of skills and abilities. Activities encourage mutual learning and informal networking in their leisure time, socializing and sharing opinions. By combining different learning techniques we want to empower and enable participants to continue to inform themselves in the future, to make unbiased conclusions and to express their opinions. The aim of this exchange is to promote visual culture, stimulate visual exploration and visual expression, develop the awareness and necessity of differentiating the world that is presented to us in the media in relation to the reality, and develop critical thinking about certain themes. Another goal of the project is to implement a holistic and informal approach to the process, with an emphasis on research character. What is media literacy, why is it a necessary precondition for free living and belonging to the society in which we live. Most young people who are growing up in today's Europe are quite skilled in using modern technology. On Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Skype, they feel at home, and they are teaching their families and youngsters entering the world of media to use social networks. They are able to keep up with the accelerated development of technology and adapt to new situations. On the other hand, covert advertising, photo manipulation, false identities, and similar tricks warn of how necessary it is to develop skills that will be concerned with the way media and technology is used. Media literacy is one of the fundamental elements of civic literacy as the media are an important channel for information, communication between citizens and public authorities, and can influence the formation of public opinion and attitudes. Participants will have a better understanding about media literacy, its advantages and disadvantages. The set of activities "2GETHER" encourages reflection on the specific objectives of the project; active citizenship, strengthening of critical thinking and youth initiatives, strengthening and promoting diversity and shared values, greater intercultural awareness, respect for human rights, creating a cohesive and inclusive society, leaving the participants an active role in the project, acquiring knowledge of the possibilities of co-operation at European level, motivation and encouraging the creation of future projects within the Erasmus + program. It has been shown that divergent questions and tasks stimulate thinking, increase motivation and activity, and develop imagination and research spirit. The key feature of activities that encourage divergent thinking is enabling more different answers to the same question, and by setting such tasks we can gain insight into the process of youth thinking. Expectations of high artistic quality are not expected from the participants, but rather the original, unusual products that are characteristic of their perception of the world and visual stimuli. Youth enriched by intercultural understanding knows what it means to make a difference with common work and action.
