Objectives

The project has been developed as a continuation of the training course Socially Inspired: Entrepreneurship for You(th) which took place in 2017. Based on data of youth unemployment in Europe and the fact that most of the jobs are created by MSMEs, taking into consideration that millennials are increasingly turning towards social entrepreneurship because of its values, motivated by a positive response from our partners as well as greater experience in organising non-formal education workshops about social entrepreneurship gained during an ESF-funded project Bridge to Success, we wanted to share our unique approach to entrepreneurial education with a new generation of youth workers by designing this training course. The objectives of the project are to: -increase youth workers’ capacity and professional skills in order to empower youth by boosting their personal development -increase the knowledge and skills of youth workers in the field of social entrepreneurship so they can help young people channel their potential in social entrepreneurship. The above mentioned will be achieved by: -teaching youth workers practical tools and methods that can be easily applied in their everyday work with youth, and which aim at raising youngsters’ awareness of their potential and empowering them as individuals -providing the non-formal and informal environment for practising those tools and techniques with other participants under the guidance of experienced trainers -providing space for the participants to design and implement workshops for youth about social entrepreneurship -presenting the European context of SE by practical workshops, best and worst practice examples, study visits, experience sharing etc. During the activities of the TC, youth workers will receive tools with which they can instil entrepreneurial spirit among the young and develop their transversal skills linked to entrepreneurship, such as creativity, critical thinking, empathy, teamwork, learning to learn, and a sense of initiative and responsibility which will help contribute to young people’s personal and professional development and facilitate their transition into the job market.
