The need to internationalize the institution and gain international experience is reflected in the program, vision and traditions of our school, which enriches the life of the institution and helps them to work more successfully among teachers and students. It also develops their approach: European dimensions, tolerance, empathy, diversity. The efforts are also supported by the parent community. Our goals in our European Development Plan are: 1. to develop foreign language communication 2. To acquire new methods, to adopt and transfer good practices in the fields of teaching, learning, management and the use of ICT. Getting to know the culture, traditions, values and education system of the host country, incorporating experiences into everyday practice. 3. We try to build new international connections after and during the courses, look for opportunities to cooperate with foreign colleagues participating in the courses, as exemplified by previous projects: e-Twinning projects, professional exchanges, new KA 2 project. 4. We consider it an important area to establish professional cooperation, exchange of experiences and joint projects in the field of sports.
Our school can be found on one of the largest housing estates in Debrecen with a lot of students struggling with disadvantages. The educators of our school consider both talent management and disadvantage compensation to be a priority. In order to nurture and expand international relations, it is important to have more and more educators who are able to speak a foreign language at an appropriate level. Unfortunately, we are still lagging behind in this area, and with this tender we have tried to change that. The spread of digital education has been a great challenge for us, which occurred earlier than expected due to the epidemic, but it became possible to acquire useful and applicable knowledge through ICT courses and job shadowing visits based on our application. A healthy lifestyle and sports are also a priority area in the life of the institution, therefore we also tried to establish a sports relationship and exchange of experiences, which can be part of a longer development process. Our school has no enrollment problems due to our diverse and colorful programs. Our educators set an example for our students in life-long learning, to aquire and speak languages, and it is important to use modern tools wisely and meaningfully.
