During the implementation of the project our goals were the following: reducing early school leaving, methodological renewal and the development of the foreign language skills for teachers who teach vocational theoretical subjects. We use many new methods:ICT tools, group work, differentiated education, project methods to arouse the interest of our students. Colleagues take part in numerous training courses at home and pass on what they have learned in the workshops and discussions. Besides these we felt the need to see how teachers do it abroad, what methods are used to reduce the number of early school leavers? Using what methods, do they achieve success? We felt the need to discuss the experiences and adopt new strategies. Newer and newer tools, techniques, and procedures appear, which we also have to adopt and adapt and the old ones have to be reviewed and renewed. In our previous tenders, only those colleagues took part who teach general knowledge subjects. Now we also tried to involve in the project teachhers who teach professional theoretical subjects to improve their foreign language skills and actively participate in our international relations.
The mission of our institution is to bring up young people who can take their place in our increasingly changing world with up-to-date knowledge. The task of the school's teaching staff is to prepare our students for the graduation and professional exams thoroughly and conscientiously in accordance with the spirit of today. In order to successfully complete all of these our staff needs, in addition to their serious professional knowledge, many other competencies such as modern methodological preparation, renewal creativity, conflict management, and language skills. Our school has a VET Accreditation within the framework of which our students participate in a six-week professional internship abroad.Since we are planning for the long term we would like that the supervisior of our students and the contact with foreign partners not only to be the task of colleagues specializing for languages, but also colleagues who teach the given profession to be actively involved in the processes. Moreover today's innovations are published in foreign professional journals and online platforms in English.Professional software can be used in English or German. So it is also necessary for professional teachers to develop their foreign language competence.
