Objectives

With the development of foreign language competences, we implemented the introduction of new methods and techniques that contributed to the integration of SEN children. Satisfying individual needs and more effective integration has an impact on personality development, community building, leading a more productive life and mastering more creative learning. It supports the child's self-expression, provides positive reinforcement, and reduces everyday stress. It results in multi-sensory playful learning while expanding traditional classrooms, both professionally and in terms of tools. In the longer term, the introduction of new therapies contributed to the reduction of social and cultural disadvantages. It helped the integration of children with behavioural disorders. It resulted in more environmentally conscious thinking. Mastering the special methods and techniques gave the opportunity to make life outside the classrooms and life inside the dormitories more effective. At the same time, the new methods and techniques contributed to the mental health of teachers and teaching assistants.

Background

Our institution is a methodological center where special needs children are supported in several areas. The foreign mobilities provided the opportunity to learn about techniques that help integration, which the employees of EGYMI could incorporate into their daily educational work. The personality development, community development, more health-conscious thinking and environmental education support more effective integration in the fields of education. The methods learned during the mobilities supported the students' becoming more independent and inspired them to make responsible decisions. The international relations gave the professionals involved in the upbringing and education of special needs children the opportunity to gain insight into the developmental work taking place in the educational institutions of other countries. In the light of all they’ve they learned, they managed to fill their own work with various new and colourful elements. The cooperation provided them with confidence and helped them battle burn-out.
