The main goal of our project is to improve the professional work at our school: education, rehabilitation, and development of students with physical disabilities. We wanted to achieve this by studying digital solutions, observing, and adapting good practices.
Our school is a multi-functional institution with the main aim to help students to get to the highest degree of independence through the co-operation of the institutional units. We are constantly looking for opportunities and innovative good practices to develop the professional work more efficient. An international project provides an excellent opportunity to strengthen professional self-awareness and initiate changes. For 120 years, our institution has been dealing with the education and rehabilitation of children and young people with physical disabilities; we cooperate and think together with families and representatives of related professions. During these years, not forgetting our traditions and values, we constantly searched for the most effective methods and techniques and monitored the changes in the world. Getting to know and using digital technology meant new opportunities for the students with physical disabilities. We quickly recognized this trend and want to support our students in navigating the digital world easily.
