Our main aims are in the European Development Plan of the school: 1. to give marketable knowledge to students and shape their thinking in line with modern challenges 2. to develope methodological knowlegde of the teaching staff and to make them more prepared for the expected level demanded in the 21st century - learning new methodology, ideas which can be shared and expand the general knowledge of the school staff 3. to raise language and communication skills of teachers and students to a higher level in both Hungarian and English languages - teachers, sharing and using their experiences, can give more effective and complete knowledge to their students, and also collecting expressions from everyday life can modernise classroom language 4. to build a Európai mindset among students and teachers - getting to know the life and education in other countries makes students and teachers more informed and gives a better view of world affairs for which we aimed to develop new international relations
Vermes Miklós Primary School voted in favour of modernization of the methodology in education over a decade. In addition to the classrooms, the venues are the programmes of the Talent Point offering a rich choice. Our aim is to we set students on their way with marketable knowledge and to creat the conditions for it. Replacing all the retired collagues, that means a growing number of teachers, is not just difficult but also gives us another important task of drawing their attention to common aims. This way we are really fortunate as a lot of them joined happily to the programme, although there are some collaguages who are not interested in it, while others are simply overburdened and this way they are not able spent time and energy on it. Through the project, we expected participants and, through them, other colleagues, to be refreshed in terms of methodology and new ideas to continue the journey wehave started.
