Objectives

The long-term goals of DSZC and its institutions with the implementation of the project are to: - support the development of businesses in Debrecen and in Hajdú-Bihar County by providing competitive human resources, - promote access to the labour market for vocational education and training students, - contribute to the attractiveness of vocational training, - build international relations. The primary goal of the project is to develop the professional and foreign language skills of students with the help of student mobility in hospitality and tourism in Italy, to increase their motivation and to provide them with greater opportunities for employment on the labour market. For practical instructors working in hospitality and tourism, the aim of the study trip is to refresh their professional knowledge, gain new knowledge that they can incorporate into their professional lessons, study the characteristics of dual training in Italy. Participating in activities in an international environment contributes to the expansion of their perspective, to familiarize with different cultures, which develops their personality by promoting a more flexible way of thinking.

Background

In the Vocational Training Centre of Debrecen and its two institutions (Debreceni SZC Bethlen Gábor Vocational Grammar School of Economics, Debreceni SZC Vocational Grammar School of Trade and Hospitality and Vocational School) the need arose for professional trainings and developments in the field of the most popular professions, hospitality and tourism. There was a need to develop opportunities for both teachers and students. There are also multiple expectations of teachers and students in education and also on the labour market, for example: teachers should be able to keep up with state-of-the-art culinary trends in gastronomy; teachers should learn about new technologies to equip students during their studies; students should complete their education and enter the labour market with knowledge of international gastronomy, having good communication and language competences.
