Development of internationalization and quality assurance at the school level. The experience and development of students and staff ensured that new methods and good practices appeared in the operation of the institutions, thereby we contributed to the further training of participants, to the internationalization of the institutions, and to the development of quality assurance. Sharing results, fitting good practices into everyday operations, increasing students’ and colleagues’ motivation and connecting to international networks contributed to raising the institutions’ prestige, developing and renewing vocational training.

Background

Four VET schools and one training office founded a consortium in order to provide the employees and students of the institutions the opportunity for mobility abroad through the implementation of the Erasmus+ vocational training programs. Each institution provides vocational training for disadvantaged young people. In general, it can be said that the schools’ dropout rate is high, and we wanted to reduce that by increasing the students' motivation. Gaining experience abroad is motivating for both students and staff, and also provides an opportunity to develop professional and language competences. The knowledge, experience, and good practice acquired during further education abroad contribute to the internationalization of institutions and the development of quality assurance. Investella Training Office was responsible for the tender, an institution with extensive international connections and several years of project management experience. Consortium partners were:Kolping School in Szekszárd and Nagybajom, Teleki Agricultural VET School and Baptista Esély(‘Chance’)VET School. After the termination of Esély School, the consortium was expanded with two partners: Kolping NagyváthyVET School Csurgó and Roth Forestry VET School Sopron.
