Objectives

The first time project ’Let it be’ was implemented by our Association was in 2017. Then we were overwhelmed by the positive feedback both from the participants and the partner organisations. Based on those and our own experience, it can be said that the project’s topic is unique and on demand. Behind our decision to implement the project for the third time there are multiple reasons: - Many professionals and organisations have expressed their interest in participating in this project - The feedbacks and evaluations of both implementations were exceptionally good and emphasised how useful and influential this training course had been - We still believe that there is need of further dissemination of the method of peer group supervision The main goal of the project is to incerase the quality of youth work with the help of the following tools: - passing on the tool of peer group supervision to the 21 youth workers attending the training cours, who will then take the method back to their organisation demonstrate it with the aim of applying it regularly - with the webpage we will create to spread the possible use of peer supervision widely among professionals, raising awareness about professional self-knwoledge and burn-out prevention The third implementation of the project is taking further steps to raise awareness about the importance of self-knowledge and reflection and it enables for further participants to integrate these in their professional lives. We would like to awaken the interest in professional development supported by supervision through new organisations included in the partnership. Outside the partnership we plan to use a new tool for dissemination: a webpage that includes all information, materials and outcomes (videos, manuals, testimonies) connected to the project Let it be. This can serve as a resource and a tool for reaching wider audiences outside the partnership or even the organisations working with Erasmus+ projects. Both the project topic and the learning and development opportunities granted by Erasmus+ can be spread efficiently this way. For our participants and professionals reached by the dissemination the introduction and the application to the method of peer supervision can provide an opportunity to open new paths in their professional journey and development. During the 10-day training the participants take part in and conduct structured workshops and develop their interpersonal and social competences through them. They share their applied methods and based on the feedback and analysis of the group they improve them. We gave space for extended reflection groups, where we process the phases of learning and we share our experiences with each other focused on the mental and physical states to enhance self-knowledge and empathy. With peer supervision they gain a new tool that enables them to utilise the experience and support of their colleagues in a structured way and use it to solve problematic situations in their practice and prevent burn-out. We expect to develop the following skills and attitudes: Determination, leadership skills, organisational skills, proactiveness, communication skills, contact making skills, teamwork skills, reflection, openness, problem-solving, analytical thinking, critical thinking, empathy. Intercultural communication and multicultural attitude, tolerance. Professional use of English.
