Objectives

The internationalisation strategy of our institution includes four main pillars: 1. To prepare students to meet the demands of the labour market according to international standards. 2. To form “Europe-conscious”, self-developing attitude in students. 3. To involve teachers and workers in our international projects. 4. To prepare the road to become an international organisation. The current tender helps realize all four purposes considerably. Our students mainly develop in their professional and language skills, as professional practice abroad gives them the opportunity of improvement in both fields and also ensures unique chances. Moreover, intercultural experience might result in numerous formal, informal and non-formal learning situations, which tend to shepherd students to create a conscious, “Europe-conscious” picture of the future. While planning the project, besides the members of our tender team (strategic team, project co-ordinators, project managers), we also aimed to involve a good many co-workers, mostly to benefit from multiplication effect. We wished to increase the number of internationally accomplished projects to activate the obvious advantages of international co-operations.

Background

Based on our previous positive experience, our school wishes to provide the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of international professional participation to as many students as possible. On one hand, it helps fulfil our strategic goals, which are included in the professional programme of our organisation. On the other hand, it ensures noticeable competitive edge to our institution as many students find the chance to be trained abroad appealing, so they choose to study at our school. According to our experience, international mobility projects are enormously helpful means to help and complete the work that proceeds in the school. Participating students are more motivated and successful in acquiring their professional skills than their peers.
