Every educational system has the important role to provide good ideas such as respect, tolerance to their students. The main idea of the "Self-criticism,Empaty,tolerance and respect" is social empathy, because we consider it to be an essential part of taking responsabilities and helping other members of a community. The statistical answers of the SWOT analysis from the project partners made in Hungary,Spain,Turkey,Germany and Romania, are: students are not used to work in teams; students’ are not too tolerants with each other many students are bullied in school or in the society teachers must be updated by other EU educational systems; schools must internationalise their curricula. The evaluation documents has revealed that in every schoolsmost of the students have a tendency to disparity by creating gaps between them.According to the feedback reports done by each partner the bullying rate is of 55% in Hungary,47% in Spain,58% in Romania,42% Germany and 45% in Turkey. Living in very strong competitive time, which so oftern turns out to be a market-based society, students must sometimes struggle to become number one or they have the impression to loose control or to be less worthy .Too many times for our students being alive means nothing that have more success than somebody else, and in the partners schools there were identified situations in which students were very affected by a huge pressure to prove their own value and challenge their friends . We all agree that in an economical society competition is similar with innovation, productivity and progress, but from a psychological perspective, competition fosters especially social comparison, which increase the tendency to self-evaluate oneself by comparing us to others and to want a rich and superior position. Our students’ are young and they are living a challenging time, adolescence, this is why we are trying to create by this project a ground through where we emphasize the main role of positive social relationships. If we will teach our students how to reach healthier social-emotional skills, such as trust, empathy, team work,we believe that they will work in a better and productive way with their peers, letting go all kind of adversity or intolerance. The main idea of our project is to promote human positive connections which will bring happiness, instead of competition which divides people.Even if competition is known as a way to improve effort-based learning,we also believe that our students must learn to work together, proving them by real life examples that living into this beautiful world is a result of a common work.According to this main idea, the activities we designed for our project are meant to provide to the students a better understanding of the tolerance manifestations,in order to become more flexible,to develop empathy skills and to prepare them to find their own special place in the community . This project is created to make from the school culture and climate a priority,it promotes the ET 2020 objectives,EU values, social inclusion,non-discrimination and social responsibility. The project tackles stereotyping, segregation, racism and bullying. The main project idea is to foster excellence in education by developing knowledge and competencies to ensure a socially empathic school setting. The main focus is to use social empathy to bridge different people and societies. The general project aim is to increase participants’ awareness about the big role of social empathy in each educational system and in a multicultural world. All education systems have an important role to play in instilling good ideas such as respect and tolerance in students. The main ideas of "Criticize me but first yourself" were: social empathy, because we see this as an essential part of taking responsibility and helping others in the community. The statistical responses to the SWOT analysis carried out by the project partners in Hungary, Spain, Turkey, Germany and Romania were as follows: - students are not used to working in teams - students are not very tolerant towards each other - many students are bullied at school or in society - teachers need to be trained on the basis of other EU education systems - schools should internationalise their curricula. With this project we have tried to create an arena through which to emphasise the key role of positive social relations. We have taught our students how to achieve healthier social-emotional skills such as trust, empathy, teamwork, so that they will cooperate better and more effectively with their peers, letting go of any resentment or intolerance. The main idea behind our project was to promote positive human relationships that bring happiness, instead of competition that divides people.Even if competition is a known way to improve effort-based learning, we also believed that our students should learn to work together, demonstrating through real-life examples that being part of this beautiful world is the result of working together. In line with this main idea, the activities planned were designed to help students better understand the manifestations of tolerance, to become more resilient, to develop empathy and to prepare them to find their own special place in the community. This project was created to transform school culture and climate into a priority, to promote EU values, social inclusion, non-discrimination and social responsibility in a positive way. The project has also been active in combating stereotypes, segregation, racism and bullying. The main ideas of the project were to promote excellence in education by developing knowledge and competences to ensure a socially empathetic school environment and to use social empathy. Unfortunately, our project came to a bit of a halt in March 2020 due to the covid, but we continued to work online through meetings, emails and phone connections. We also reversed the order of the meetings, as we thought it would be better if the experienced Hungarian coordinator took the first meeting first, thus giving direction to the other partners to organise it. The first meeting was held in Jászberény in October 2019, and the next one was planned for April 2020, but unfortunately it was cancelled, as were the others. After the online meetings, we managed to organise the 4 cancelled meetings this spring and summer, unfortunately a bit rushed, but with all the more pleasure. Our objectives were more or less achieved, what was cancelled was either due to technical reasons or the two-year break. The project also aimed to encourage social and cultural dialogue between 250 students (aged 12-15) from 5 European schools over a period of 24 (36) months. The age of the students later increased, as there was one student who was 16-17 years old, who was still in 8th grade in 2019, but who would have turned 17 by the time of the trip (May 2022). We have managed to make our students understand that aggressive behaviour is wrong, and we have managed to reduce the rate of aggressive behaviour. We have been able to work together with the schools. The results of our project: a logo, questionnaires, school presentations, promotional materials (roll-ups), Erasmus Days, a book, a theatre show, a facebook page, bookmarks, an anti-bullying workshop, a friendship wall, a joint festival, a tolerance day, a summer school timetable (to celebrate International Friendship Day). Long-term impact of our project: our project is sustainable because it has achieved a wider impact involving a number of schools and associated partners. It has put active citizenship on a new footing, promoting change for the better. We achieve short and long-term results for all target groups: - communication - leadership skills - knowledge of digital tools, applications and services, use of English and other languages - a more positive attitude towards the EU - added value for future projects and motivation of others - involvement of disadvantaged learners/ethnic minorities/refugees strong institutional cooperation/ lifelong friendships and bonds - intercultural effectiveness, knowledge and sensitivity In particular, teamwork skills, communication, organisation and research skills have been developed through joint activities. Increased self-esteem, respect for others and self-confidence for many participants. Some had never travelled before and were afraid of speaking and communicating in a foreign language for several days. This fear disappeared in all participants. Tolerance of strangers has been developed by accepting and practising the diversity that binds us together. After the project, the participants are more likely to act in the spirit of a tolerant, open society.
