We wanted to get better equipped to maintain, strenghten and develop our learning community further.
We applied for this project to strengthen our learning community, support knowledge creation, enhance our professional development, broaden our professional network and strengthen networks for further European cooperation. And to seek guidance from our colleagues in Europe where they are ahead of us in educational innovation. Our belief is that European collaboration between educational establishments increase the possibilities of diverse opportunities for development in education and teaching methods. The district office leads a ICT learning community within the municipality. In Iceland there are only few educational oppertunities for active teachers in the field of learning communities and school innovation.
