In line with the EU objectives of the 2020 Strategy and ET 2020, the VET@WORK & KET project offered the young participants involved the opportunity to verify and deepen their curricular skills: professionalism in the specific area of belonging (mechanics, mechatronics, electronics, maintenance and technical assistance), transversal skills, cultural knowledge and linguistic preparation. These general objectives have been pursued through an ERASMUSPro international mobility experience of 4 MONTHS in 3 European countries (Spain, Portugal, Malta) for 103 RECENTLY GRADUATED PARTICIPANTS of the sending Technical-Professional Schools of the National Consortium. The Project also promoted the comparison and transfer of good training practices by linking our VET system to the training and working system of other European companies and contributed to the consolidation of the ECVET system.
The challenges that the European manufacturing industry will have to face in the coming years will be inexorably linked to technological evolution and high-performance production systems. In this context, the Italian manufacturing production system and the one, in particular, of the three regional territories (Tuscany, Abruzzo and Molise) involved in the VET@WORK & KET Consortium has, therefore, the need to better capitalize its tradition and industrial vocation and to excel in technologies that enable, innovate and spread competitiveness and employment. The definition of detail of the profiles and the required professional skills, together with the creation of appropriate training paths to accompany the company in governing the technological change in production, are therefore essential priorities for the manufacturing of the three regional territories involved and, more generally, of our Country.
