The general objective was to promote the employment of Umbrian students through the acquisition of skills ready-to-be-used on the labour market. Students have carried out internships in European companies acquiring and improving their technical and professional skills in electronics, electrotechnics and digital processes, and key and citizenship skills. Schools, through teachers, have improved their management skills of mobility actions and the use of tools for recognizing European mobility. They have opened up to internationalisation and increased the attractiveness of technical and vocational education thanks to the European dimension. Consortium members have consolidated their expertise and experience in using procedures and methods to integrate European mobility into the current school training offer. They have strengthened and structured regional cooperation by creating a mobility hub in the electronics and digitization sector.
ELECTRA was created to connect consortium members’ needs with the development opportunities of the Umbrian productive sector. The electronics and electro-technical sector represents strategic markets (industry, construction, energy and infrastructure) in which digitization and sustainability are primary elements. ELECTRA is the third step of a development plan started with the KA1 VET projects: “UmbriaNet” (2016), "Youth Outgoing Mobility for Farmers in Umbria" (2017) and "STAY in Umbria: Smart Tourism Against Youth unemployment in Umbria" (2018). All aimed at including more and more Umbrian VET providers in a mobility infrastructure for the benefit of students and the territory. The consortium included 6 Umbrian 2nd grade schools with study courses in electronics and electro-technical, information technology and telecommunications, graphics and communication; 6 European hosting partners specialised in offering training experiences along with the students' study curricula and increasing post-qualification employability; 3 supporting intermediary organisations and institutions (Regione Umbria, Itaca, Uniser)
