"Travelling into the Heart of Europe' achieved the following objectives: - Training opportunities for recent graduates from Umbria have improved. Thanks to the transnational mobilities, participants were provided with "European" level training, which allowed them to open up to the comparison with different cultures, motivating them to undertake further training and work paths, and to acquire specific skills in the professional profiles covered during the mobility; - the bodies ANCI Umbria, the Umbria Region and the trade associations in the consortium, have sharpened their skills in the activation of European initiatives to support education and training paths; - USR Umbria, the partner schools and training organisations have acquired skills in the management and implementation of activities aimed at ensuring the internationalisation of their structures, as well as developing experiences aimed at supporting students in the acquisition of professional and transversal skills to enable them to compete on the labour market. The project has also made it possible to create greater links between schools, institutions and businesses at regional level.
The transnational mobility project "Travelling into the Heart of Europe" (2019-1-IT01-KA102-007046), implemented within the framework of the Erasmus PRO programme, was coordinated by ANCI Umbria-Associazione dei Comuni dell'Umbria, the Coordinator of the Consortium formed by the following members: Umbria Region, Regional School Office for Umbria and the schools (IIS "Giordano Bruno", IIS "Cavour Marconi Pascal", ITET "Aldo Capitini", IIS "M. Polo-R. Bonghi", IIS "Rosselli- Rasetti", IIS "Giufeli-Einaudi" IIS "Cassata-Gattapone", IIS Campus "Leonardo Da Vinci" and ITT "Allievi-Sangallo"), Glocal SRL, CGIL, CISL, Confcommercio, ENFAP and CNA. Through the project, the Consortium intended to exploit the potential of transnational mobility to offer new training and employment opportunities to the younger generations through the design of a shared strategy among the relevant actors at regional level. This strategy was, therefore, implemented through the promotion of training traineeship experiences abroad (in Spain, France, Ireland and Malta) in order to offer young Umbrian people the chance to develop new skills and experience in key sectors of the regional economy (tourism and marketing).
