The Wellness#kepass consortium, established in 2016 under the impetus of the regional administration, who was the lead partner of Wellness#kepass project (cod. N o. 2016-1-IT01-KA102-004961), wished to propose this second edition, considering the success found above all in the motivation of students thanks to their participation in the project. Such project infact promoted the mobility of 100 students in the sector. Lead partner for this edition was the Istituto Podesti, the members of the Consortium agreed on a rotation to give everyone the opportunity to consolidate skills that can be used in the internationalisation of their institutions. The objectives of the project were: to increase training opportunities abroad for students in the wellness sector, aimed at the transition to the world of work in the NA and international context; to encourage partnerships between the world of VET and the world of work for the implementation of flexible and customised pathways; to improve the quality of the VET offer, in line with the European labour market; to foster the internationalisation of VET Institutes by developing in the staff involved, the skills necessary for the quality planning and management of student mobility experiences.
The WELLNESS SECTOR, target of the project, has been affected by a substantial transformation process at a EU, NA and territorial level. The demand for services in the sector is characterised by constant growth (long-time trend) aimed at satisfying an increasingly specialised demand for services. Operators in the sector are growing by transforming their offer, which is increasingly competitive in terms of professionalism. In recent years, the accommodation enterprises set in the Marche region have also made significant investments in their facilities in functional wellness-relaxation facilities. Therefore, the opportunity for students of the wellness sector to gain learning experiences abroad is crucial for their entry into the labour market and to increase the competitiveness of enterprises in the Marche region at international level. The WELLNESS#KEPASS CONSORTIUM, made up of 6 IIS and 1 Training Agency in the Marche region that deliver IeFP (VET) "Wellness Operator" qualification courses and regional qualifications, promoted the project by implementing strategies related to the improvement of learning methodologies and the enhancement of young people's skills to foster their transition from school/VET to the world of work.
