Objectives

Identified objectives in the planning process: - Accomplishment of a PCTO (integration of educational and vocational training process), mainly focused on an effective consistency for the job market in EU countries - Enhancement of job-oriented language (English), communicational and behavioural skills - Implementation of both vocational and technical skills in EU upgraded companies involved in renewable energy and environmental services

Background

Self-Evaluation Report accomplished by the school highlighted the lack of job opportunities in the local companies for most of the graduated students. A further notice concerned that, despite the consistent academic enrollment, the university credits at the end of the second course declined, till to a decisive leaving in some cases. The document even stated the consistent relevance of upgraded educational strategies in the encouragement of the school achievement by accomplishing both vocational and soft skills. Thus, the suitable settlement we identified focused on providing students with the opportunity to join training tasks abroad, at specialized and pioneering companies, so as to allow students to get hold of soft skills implying the specific vocational profile, as well as a considerable language competence meant to effectively widen opportunities for any future job. The outcome of such a challenge implied the arrangement of a VET process, meant to enhance the students’ vocational expertise focused on both upgrading their occupational chance and the achievement of expertise in a range of jobs. We acknowledged the opportunity provided by Erasmus Plus Program: in the identification of the current rates of youth movement from Brindisi area elsewhere in Italy and often abroad, we meant to arrange international training courses, addressed to implement job and study opportunities in one of the EU countries.
