Objectives

The project is supported by a consortium of vocational schools and training organisations, a synergy aimed at promoting social inclusion, youth employability, personal development and lifelong learning. The idea that project participants could acquire the key competences to enter the labour market or to continue in subsequent training courses was therefore one of the main drivers of our organisation's activities. The experience of "system" mobility, which makes it possible to increase the attractiveness of VET, to promote the recognition of learning (ECVET), to strengthen cooperation through the implementation of a consortium for mobility in Emilia-Romagna was a further motivating element for the development of the project.

Background

The project is part of the VET internationalisation strategy initiated by A.E.C.A. with the expansion of partner networks, consortia and participation in European projects. A.E.C.A. is an association of 12 vocational training institutions with 27 accredited locations. Since 2008, it has been the mandated body of the R.T.I. (Raggruppamento Temporaneo di Impresa) for the project "E-R regional action for the project and operational integration of support to the regional IeFP system", whose objective is the facilitation of the fulfilment of the compulsory education/training and the fight against school and training dispersion. The R.T.I. brings together 9 other networks for a total of 72 Training Centre locations. A.E.C.A.'s activities are aimed primarily at training disadvantaged young people in order to help them grow humanly and professionally and to facilitate their entry into the labour market. Through the A.E.C.A. project, A.E.C.A. proposed to extend the training offer to members and RTI. In this way, the training organisations offered trainees the opportunity to spend a period of work abroad to strengthen transversal and technical skills and to meet the need for sector specialisations.
