With this mobility project ENAC aimed to achieve one of the objectives of its internationalisation strategy, i.e. that of "Promoting the internationalisation of the training offer of Canossian VET centres" and, in particular, the operational objective of "Improving the quantity and quality of outgoing mobility". More generally, the aim was to offer students and teachers of the Canossian network the opportunity to develop international skills and to deal with VET centres in other countries, thus encouraging the exchange of good practices and innovation processes. In relation to the partnership, this project aimed to reach a further specific objective, namely that of "extending, innovating and enhancing collaborations with European and international partners and networks" by 1) re-evaluating the areas/countries in which to invest and 2) strengthening or starting up new collaborations with selected partners.
In 2018, ENAC applied for and obtained the VET Charter to manage mobility for Canossian vocational training centres. In 2019, the first mobility project with the Charter was presented in order to implement student mobility, short and long, and staff mobility for all Canossian centres during 2020. As stated also in the first objective of ENAC's Internationalisation Strategy, through this type of projects, ENAC aims to offer its students and staff the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in a globalised world. In this sense, transnational mobilities allow people to experience different cultures and traditions, to become increasingly aware of being part of a changing and strongly connected global village, as the recent pandemic has also shown.
