For learners, the project therefore aimed to: - to develop openness to diversity and intercultural awareness, due to the importance of these skills on a social and ethical level; - enhance language skills, also in consideration of the internationalization of the local economy; - acquire technical-professional skills. Alongside these skills, the project focused on other cross-curricular ones which are essential in the world of work: flexibility, self-learning, autonomy and personal organisation, ability to take responsibility, teamwork, problem-solving abilities. As for staff mobility, the school aimed to improve the linguistic and professional skills in CLIL teaching of the teachers/ participants, to contribute to the methodological renewal of the school, sharing different ideas and points of view with European colleagues, in an innovative linguistic and cultural context.
The geographical context where the “Three project” is located is the southern area of Padova province. It is a territory characterised by a low-level cultural capital; it is marked instead by an economic background of small businesses and artisan activities, with an appreciable / decent import-export. It is also a territory with high interesting elements for the tourism, whose quality depends not only on the environment and material services but also on the human relationships that this territory can offer. The aim of the project is therefore to experiment a training based on experience in the company (work based learning) abroad, which stimulates the ability to learn and the openness to multiculturalism, and which at the same time allows the acquisition of professional and transversal skills that facilitate labour market entry in this economic context.
