Background

The "Boccioni-Fermi" Higher Education Institute of Reggio Calabria is attended by students mostly from modest and weak families from an economic and social point of view. Many are of foreign origins and struggle to integrate into the socio-cultural context of reference. This humus reflects on the students' chances of academic success, characterized by a strong sense of opposition towards the institutions. Strong is the demotivation to study and the lack of participation in the class environment. In view of this context, the I.I.S. "Boccioni-Fermi" intended to implement the Erasmus project "aLTER" (2019-1-IT02-KA101-061000) to ensure all learners, through the continuous training of its staff, a full development of their skills and possibilities , both from a professional and social point of view, trying to give life to a school organization that knows how to take into account the differences existing among the students and knows how to take advantage from these differences.
