The objectives obtained by the project "P.O.E.TR.Y. Second Edition" were: - improving the linguistic knowledge and skills of teaching and administrative staff, - acquisition of the methodological and transversal competences by teachers. - strengthening of CLIL and tourist management skills for teachers. - introduction in the PTOF of an English language project on tourism management in the food and wine sector, to publicize the region of Cilento. - updating curricular programs to stimulate students' entrepreneurial skills. - improvement of student learning outcomes and future employability. - activation of new partnerships and collaborations with foreign institutes and companies.
The Higher Education Institute "Ancel Keys" is located in Castelnuovo Cilento (Salerno), between the Salerno - lively, open to tourism, dynamic - and the hinterland cilentano - linked and anchored to a traditional culture and reluctant to change. The I.I.S. "Ancel Keys" embodies the dual nature of the social and cultural context: in it coexist, innovative projects with an international dimension (twinning with Romanian, Spanish and Japanese Institutes, realization in the school year 2016/2017 of the Erasmus+ KA1 project for the mobility of teachers in England) with curricula, courses and extracurricular activities focused on traditional methods. The aim of the project "P.O.E.TR.Y. Second Edition" has been to increase knowledge of innovative teaching methodologies with a particular focus on CLIL and tourism management for teachers and to improve language and digital skills and for ATA staff, in order to facilitate the integration into the world of work of its students.
