The courses implemented during the three mobility flows in Ireland, Belgium and Finland, lasting 2 weeks, have allowed the improvement of the knowledge of the English language and the possibility to learn new teaching methods and approaches to be used in the daily teaching activity ; moreover, teachers have strengthened the key skills of active and European citizenship and the practice of innovative teaching, experiencing first-hand the procedures relating to the most modern teaching methodologies: teaching by skills, laboratory teaching and metacognitive teaching, necessary to create an environment of learning centered on the learner's needs. In summary, the training courses achieved the following specific objectives: - enhancement of the professional, transversal, and linguistic skills of teachers and ATA staff. - introduction of new methodologies aimed at stimulating the learning process of the learners. - internationalization of the high school, through networking and synergy with foreign bodies.
Located in a context that records an unemployment rate of 15.8%, with an audience of students experiencing situations of economic disadvantage, the Liceo Scientifico Statale "Giovanni Da Procida" has the mission of creating an innovative, inclusive and international school environment. The Liceo intends to guarantee students an education that protects and emancipates them from any form of disadvantage. As emerged from the Improvement Plan, to increase and qualify the performance of the students, it is necessary to start from the strengthening of the training skills of the staff. In fact, through the implementation of the "I.Q.T. - Improving the Quality of Teaching" project, the school wanted to provide 20 school staff members with the opportunity to take advantage of an educational experience that had repercussions on the school community, on the growth of their students and on their professional portfolio, and to implement the ability to use new practices and methodological approaches useful to enhance the students’ basic skills and help them in the learning process.
