The implementation of this project, which took place in 36 months (from 02/12/20219 to 01/12/2022) positively affected the following areas: METHODOLOGICAL AREA: - it promoted the acquisition of innovative methodologies for teaching and learning, by enhancing the teachers' ability to intervene with teaching strategies that encourage the participation of all students. - it improved the knowledge of foreign languages and broadened the use of the CLIL methodology. MANAGEMENT AREA: - the ability to organize and manage different types of international activities with local and foreign partners has been boosted. - an internal and more systemic policy for internationalization has been defined. EU DIMENSION: - the European dimension of the school has been fostered through the improvement of the school staff’s language skills. - systematic participation in projects of European scope has been secured thanks to the progressive improvement of management abilities. - intercultural skills have been stimulated as well as the exchanges of experiences among teachers to better the quality of teaching.
The high school "Francesco Saverio Nitti" of Portici (Naples) operates in an area characterized by a high rate of unemployment, in a difficult province from a social and educational point of view, where concrete school intervention is needed to establish cooperation with other regional, national and European educational realities and continue its process of renewal, already undertaken with the implementation of the Erasmus+ project "CURIOSITAS", n. 2018-1-IT02-KA101-046883. In addition to the objectives already achieved with the previous edition, the applicant school wanted to consolidate its internationalization to approach the best quality standards of the most innovative and cutting-edge European schools. The project “N.E.I.TE.M.M. - Nitti in Europe for the Improvement of TEaching and Management Methods” n. 2019-1-IT02-KA101-061046 has made it possible to modernize the school curriculum, bringing about a technical-linguistic and professional improvement in a European key.
