The Improvement Plan and the RAV have highlighted the need for the school to focus on opening its European dimension to improve the skills and abilities of its teaching staff in the following areas of intervention: - design of a system that involves all subjects for teaching the following key skills: communication in foreign languages, learning to learn, social and civic skills, initiative and entrepreneurship, cultural awareness, and expression. 82% of beneficiaries, within the participant report of the Mobility Tool declared that they have developed these transversal skills with the awareness of being able to include them in their professional activity. - introduction of innovative teaching methodologies for the purpose of involvement and activism by students; 73% of teachers benefiting from the mobility stated that they are willing to introduce in their home institution the skills acquired. - development of a school inclusion system, capable of preparing interventions tailored to the SEN students' needs: 70% of beneficiaries declared that they are willing to introduce new training courses in the institute.
The “Benedetto Radice” High School, located in Bronte (in the province of Catania) with the project proposal "C.I.R.C.L.E. - Citizenship and Inclusion fRom a Creative Learning ", n. 2019-1-IT02-KA101-061057, intended to give continuity to its internationalization strategy, which began with previous Erasmus projects, through training experiences in other European countries. The acquisition of new skills, considered essential for engaging a virtuous circle of disseminating them to all school staff, had manifested itself as a training and development need underlying the project application and aimed at the final goal, to bring tangible benefits to students and the local context. Even the title of the project immediately had the "task" of referring precisely to the possibility of replicability of results and long-term benefits throughout the Institute, inherent in participation in European mobility programs. With a view to a total involvement of the school staff, in the operational-management phase of the project, the Institute extended the invitation to participate also to non-teaching staff.
