"WE WANNA LEARN TO TEACH" – project code 2019-1-IT02-KA101-061074 - was the Erasmus+ project for the training and updating of the staff of the I.I.S.S. "Guglielmo Marconi- Margherita Hack" of Bari (Apulia, South of Italy) aimed at innovating the teaching methodology of the school in order to counteract the phenomenon of academic, social and cultural failure of a particular category of students: those with special needs or fewer opportunities (with socio-economic disadvantages). The desire to set the project strategy on these needs stemmed from the particular socio-economic context in which the Institute is inserted (high unemployment rate 20.2% and child poverty 21.6%, serious episodes of child deviance) and from the findings in the 2019 RAV: more than 9.6% of students were at risk of social exclusion, as carriers of special needs (6.3%) or fewer opportunities (3.3%).
