Background

The high school “Quiinto Orazio Flacco” of Portici (Province of Naples) is a point of reference for the training of foreign languages and the use of innovative technologies. The school enrolls students from diverse backgrounds, coming from all Vesuvian municipalities, characterized by a high rate of school dropouts and poor economic possibilities. Through its curricula, it must guarantee its students the cultural tools necessary to follow their studies and enter the world of work. From an internal school analysis, the European development plan was strongly centered on the essence of innovation in the teaching and general management of the Institute, especially in the humanities and sciences, where students perform worse than the national average. The project “EuroEducation and EuroTeachers – E.E.E.T.” (2019-1-IT02-KA101-061274) has set itself the goal of innovating school practices in a perspective that is always open to the world of work and to all European politics.
