Background

We submitted the "Motivated teachers for Motivating European Students" application so that, thanks to the opportunities of the Erasmus+ programme, our institute could expand its modernisation and internationalisation process with a view to strengthening European citizenship skills and to giving a European and international dimension to students' training paths also through in-service training of teachers and staff working within it. We started from an analysis made in the NIV (Internal Assessment Board) and then shared in collective and departmental meetings, of certain needs that we considered important: - development and strengthening of a network of relations with schools, associations, institutions and companies at a European and international level for the training of teachers and all school staff in service to offer the opportunity of training experiences useful for the modernisation, innovation and internationalisation of the education system and also greater cooperation between the world of education and training and the world of work; - reducing the rate of suspended pupils by enhancing innovative and motivational teaching and combating the phenomenon of early school leaving; - motivation and on-going training of teachers in order to respond to the educational and training needs of a school that follows the evolution taking place in society; - formation of a team of teachers who can effectively and efficiently train other colleagues and be drivers of teacher innovation; - improve the language, digital and management skills of teachers and school staff Therefore, starting from this needs analysis, the Erasmus team developed an effectively structured project proposal, which could have an important and positive impact on the users and the entire school community, with a very positive impact on the overall improvement of our educational offer.
