The Institute has carried out actions aimed at the transnational mobility of people in the education sector in Europe to learn about teaching methods and practices to be used in CLIL; to refine and strengthen the knowledge of foreign languages; to implement the use of laboratory teaching through comparison with international realities and to open new paths of knowledge and produce new documentary sources. The Institute has wanted not only to refine the ability to work towards objectives, innovate the organizational culture and create paths of quality and excellence but also to promote language skills and understanding between different cultures, together with a high use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the education sector.
The Higher Education Institute "LICEI Canudo-Marone - ITI Galile Galilei", being the result of a sizing operation that involved the merger of the two high schools (Liceo Scientifico and Liceo Classico) of Gioia del Colle with the Industrial Technical Institute - Technological Sector, intended to apply and develop this project to allow a high number of teachers, coming from the Liceo Classico, Liceo Scientifico and the ITI not only a valuable training and professional experience, but also the possibility of a professional updating able to enrich the cultural center of reference of the vast territory of origin of the students.
