Through both the training activities and the job shadowing and language enhancement courses, we expected as a transversal fallout a more widespread dissemination of the exchange of teaching best practices among European teachers, a greater internationalization of our institution, and the improvement of educational offerings in general. This is in order to improve the effectiveness of disciplinary and, above all, interdisciplinary activities, as we want to promote "meaningful learning" rather than mechanical learning, pursuing understanding rather than memorization, the production of knowledge rather than its mere reproduction. Thus, we wanted to address and improve the learning problems that arise in classrooms, such as, for example, students' difficulty in "following" traditional lectures, maintaining sustained engagement, deepening topics, and perceiving the meaningfulness of learning content. Therefore, we found it necessary to job shadow activities in other European schools and enhance vehicular language, with a rethinking of methodology, in an authentic "learning environment" by improving language and digital skills.
Through this project we aimed to improve the educational profile of participants in relation to skills, language, digital and the organization of teaching activities and learning spaces. We expected the overall improvement of the quality of training provision, teaching, with particular reference to the European, intercultural and multilingual dimensions, strengthening the quality of teaching and learning. In addition, we foresaw that training could be useful for greater dissemination of new technologies in daily teaching also to foster inclusion. This helped us to spread the eTwinning platform and thus to strengthen the concept of Euro-citizenship in a European dimension of teaching. As a consequence, we also wanted to strengthen the European dimension of our institution through fruitful comparison between different institutions and develop a comparative scheme on the methodologies used, teaching, inclusion and learning environments. We also felt it was important to create new interpersonal relationships, including European ones, foster socialization and satisfaction in one's work.
